Smart Insole

A sensor that is attached to the body in order to monitor and record physiological data or environmental data.
Haptic Feedback
The use of touch feedback to the user of an electronic device through vibrations or motions.
Activity Monitor
A device or software for monitoring a user's physical activity over time in terms of calories expended, steps taken, distance traveled, etc.
Smart Ring
A ring that contains smart technology to perform functions such as tracking fitness, sleep, or sending notifications.
Wearable EEG Headset
A portable device that reads electrical activity of the brain (Electroencephalography) and is used for a variety of applications from medical to gaming.
Wearable Camera
A camera designed to be worn on the body, often for the purpose of recording personal activities.
Biometric Sensors
Sensors on a wearable device that measure physical statistics and biological data.
Gesture Control Device
A device that uses various sensors to detect and interpret movements of the human body, particularly hand and finger motions, so as to control devices without physical touch.
Smart Clothing
Clothing items that have been enhanced with technology to add functionality beyond that of the traditional use.
Sleep Tracker
A device that measures the quality and quantity of a user's sleep, often by tracking movement and heart rate.
Smart Glove
A glove that is equipped with sensors that can detect its movements and gestures, and in some cases, provide feedback.
Smartwatch
A wearable computing device that closely resembles a wristwatch or other time-keeping device but also offers smartphone-like functionalities.

Fabrics that enable digital components and electronics to be embedded in them.

A fabric that has been developed to include technologies that provide added value to the wearer.

A movement to incorporate technology into data acquisition on aspects of a person's daily life in terms of inputs, states, and performance.
Skin Conductance Sensor
A sensor that measures the electrical conductance of the skin, which varies with its moisture level.
Fitness Tracker
A device or application for monitoring and tracking fitness-related metrics such as distance walked or run, calorie consumption, and in some cases heartbeat and quality of sleep.
Augmented Reality Glasses
Wearable computer glasses that add information alongside or to what the wearer sees.
Heart Rate Monitor
A personal monitoring device that allows one to measure their heart rate in real time or record the heart rate for later study.
