HIV/AIDS
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) leads to Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), undermining the immune system. Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest prevalence of HIV/AIDS.
Malaria
A mosquito-borne infectious disease caused by Plasmodium parasites. It is most prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America.
Cardiovascular Diseases
A group of disorders affecting the heart and blood vessels, often related to atherosclerosis. Prevalence is high in regions with sedentary lifestyles and Western diets.

These diseases affect the airways and other structures of the lung. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma are widespread in regions with high air pollution, including many urban areas globally.

Hepatitis
Inflammation of the liver, most commonly caused by a viral infection. Hepatitis B and C are serious concerns in Asia and Africa.
Obesity
An excessive accumulation of body fat, increasing the risk of health problems like heart disease and diabetes. High-income countries, particularly the United States, have high rates of obesity.
