Food for Peace Act (Public Law 480)
United States legislation that provides for the delivery of American agricultural commodities to foreign countries to combat hunger and malnutrition and to encourage economic development. Involved countries are those experiencing food crises or emergencies, mainly in the developing world.
Feed the Future Initiative
A US government's global hunger and food security initiative; involves partnerships with countries to develop their agriculture sector and reduce the number of hungry and malnourished people, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa and South and Southeast Asia.
Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP)
