Diminuendo
Gradually decrease the volume of the music.
Clef
A symbol that designates the pitch of written notes and indicates the name and pitch of the notes on the staff.
Flat
Lowers the pitch of a note by a semitone.
Staccato
Play the note sharply detached or separated from the others.
Natural
Cancels any previous sharps or flats and returns the note to its natural pitch.

Connects two notes of the same pitch, indicating they should be played as a single note with a combined duration.

Notates the number of beats in each measure and the note value that gets one beat.
Da Capo
Instructs the musician to repeat from the beginning of the piece.
Repeat Sign
Indicates that a section should be played more than once.
Accent
Emphasizes a note with an increased intensity or volume compared to the notes around it.
Dynamics
The volume of the music, which can change throughout a piece.
Dal Segno
Directs the musician to repeat from the sign (𝄋) placed earlier in the music.
