Grand Drape
The main curtain at the front of the stage, usually richly decorated, that opens to reveal the stage to the audience.
Legs
Long, narrow curtains on the sides of the stage, used to mask the wings from the audience and improve acoustics.
Border
Wide, short drapes hung above the stage, used to mask lighting instruments and the fly loft from the audience's view.
Cyclorama
A large, usually seamless curtain at the back of the stage often used to create sky effects or projections.
Scrims
A loose-weave curtain used for visual effects, which can appear opaque or transparent depending on the lighting.
