The Ambitious Card
1. Perform a double lift to show the top card. 2. Place it back in the middle of the deck. 3. Use a secret move (like a double undercut) to bring it back to the top.
The Vanishing Card
1. Show the audience a card and place it on the top of the deck. 2. Pretend to remove the card, but actually take the one below it. 3. Make a throwing motion towards your other hand or a hat, and reveal that the card has 'vanished'.
The Card Force
1. Cut the deck and remember the bottom card of the top half. 2. Fan the cards and invite a spectator to pick one, but force them to take the card you have memorized. 3. Reveal the card through a prediction or transformation.
The Double Lift
1. Get the spectator's card to the top of the deck. 2. Use your fingers to lift the top two cards as one, showing the second card. 3. Turn the 'single' card down and perform any trick, making the audience believe it's their card.
The Card Prediction
1. Secretly place a prediction card in an envelope or a visible place. 2. Force a spectator to pick the same card from the deck. 3. Reveal that you've predicted their choice beforehand.
The Four Aces
1. Secretly move the four aces to the top of the deck. 2. Perform false cuts or shuffles to maintain them on top. 3. Produce the aces in a dramatic revelation, one by one or all at once.
The Card Change
1. Hold the deck in your hand. 2. Perform a snap change or a color change to transform the top card to another. 3. Show the transformation apparently happening right in front of the audience's eyes.
The Invisible Deck
1. Display a deck of cards as 'invisible'. 2. Asking a spectator to 'choose' a card, then 'return' it upside down. 3. Reveal a physical deck with one card upside down - the chosen card.
The Three-Card Monte
1. Show three cards, one of which is a target card (commonly a queen). 2. Shuffle the cards slowly to let the spectator follow the target card. 3. Use sleight of hand to confuse the spectator so they pick the wrong card.
The Card Through Window
1. Force a card and ensure it's lost in the deck. 2. Have a duplicate card in advance stuck to the other side of a window. 3. Throw the deck against the window, and show that the forced card has 'passed through' the glass.
The Color Changing Deck
1. Present a deck with a secret duplicate in a different color. 2. Use a double lift to show the top card, then turn it over on the deck. 3. Perform a color change or a deck switch to reveal the different colored deck.
The Mind Reading
1. Have your spectator pick a card and look at it without seeing it yourself. 2. Place it back in the deck and control it to the top. 3. Use psychological subtleties or card marking to reveal their card.
The Slip Cut
1. Hold the deck with a standard grip. 2. Use your thumb to push the top card back slightly. 3. Cut the deck while maintaining the top card in its position.
The False Shuffle
1. Demonstrate a shuffle that appears to mix the cards but retains order. 2. Use overhand or riffle shuffle techniques that control portions of the deck. 3. Keep certain cards or the entire deck in a prearranged order.
The Card to Pocket
1. Use sleight of hand to control a selected card to the top or bottom of the deck. 2. Palm the card and then secretly place it into your pocket. 3. Reveal that the card has mysteriously traveled from the deck to your pocket.
The Card Through Table
1. Have a spectator select a card and return it to the deck. 2. Tap the deck on the table while secretly palming off the selected card. 3. Show that the selected card has 'penetrated' the table and picked it up from your lap.
The Torn and Restored Card
1. Secretly have a duplicate card pre-torn. 2. Show the intact card, switch it with the pre-torn card and tear it up. 3. Reveal that the card has magically restored to its original state.
The Card Palm
1. Secretly position a card in your hand to be hidden from the audience's view. 2. Learn different palm techniques like the classic palm or the gambler's cop. 3. Keep the hand with the palmed card as natural as possible.
The Card Sandwich
1. Have two jokers or other identifier cards placed inside the deck. 2. Control the selected card between the two jokers through sleight of hand. 3. Reveal that the spectators' card is now magically sandwiched between the jokers.
The Corner Bend
1. Have a spectator select a card and mark it with a bend in the corner. 2. Use sleight of hand to control the bent card back to the top of the deck. 3. Use the bend to identify the card and reveal it dramatically.
