Runway
A narrow, usually flat platform that runs into an auditorium, used by models to demonstrate clothing and accessories during a fashion show.
Haute Couture
French term for 'high sewing' or 'high dressmaking' referring to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing, made by fashion houses for private clients, often involving time-consuming, hand-executed techniques.
Ready-to-Wear
Clothing that is produced in standard sizes and sold to the public without individual custom fittings, usually displayed during fashion weeks.
Lookbook
A collection of photographs compiled to show off a model, photographer, style, stylist, or clothing line, usually for promotional purposes.
Backstage
The area behind the scenes at a fashion show where models get dressed, makeup and hair styling is done, and designers prepare the looks.
Lineup
A sequence in which models will walk the runway during a fashion show, also refers to the arrangement of garments that will be displayed.

The specific way a model moves on the runway during a fashion show, which often includes poise and a display of confidence.
Collection
A set of clothing, accessories, or footwear from a fashion designer for a particular season which is presented in a fashion show.
Casting
The process of selecting models for a fashion show, often involving auditions where models demonstrate their walk and look.
A-List
A term used to describe top-tier fashion models, designers, or celebrities who are very popular and involved with high-profile events.
Designer
A person who conceives and creates designs for clothes, accessories, or footwear, often presented at fashion shows.
Afterparty
A social gathering that takes place after a fashion show, where designers, models, and guests can relax and socialize.
Press Kit
A package given to media representatives containing information about the fashion show, designer, collection and high-quality images intended for promotional use.
Street Style
