Synchro Monster Card
Summoned by sending to the Graveyard one Tuner monster and one or more non-Tuner monsters from the field.
Fusion Monster Card
Created by fusing two or more monsters together using a spell or effect like Polymerization.
Extra Deck Card
Cards kept in a separate deck that includes Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Link, and some Pendulum Monsters, which can typically only be summoned using specific methods.
Effect Monster Card
A type of Monster Card that has a special ability that can influence the gameplay
Spell Card
Provides a temporary or permanent power-up, or a specific beneficial effect.
Ritual Monster Card
Special type that is summoned using a corresponding Ritual Spell Card, along with tribute of monsters from the hand or field whose total levels equal or exceed the level of the Ritual Monster.
Token Monster Card

Trap Continuous Card

Normal Monster Card
The simplest type of Monster Card with no effects and purely defined by its attack and defense points.
Spell Equip Card
Once activated, this card is equipped to a Monster Card, providing it with additional abilities or stats modifications.
Link Monster Card
Doesn't have a Level or DEF stat. It's summoned using monsters as material equal to its Link Rating and points to specific zones on the field.
Spell Field Card
When activated, this type of Spell Card affects the entire field and both players' monsters.
Spell Ritual Card
Used to Ritual Summon Ritual Monster Cards, detailing the specifics on how to conduct the Ritual Summon.
Trap Card
Set face-down and activated in response to specific conditions during the game.
Xyz Monster Card
Summoned to the field using two or more monsters of the same level as Xyz Materials.
Monster Card
Used to battle opponents and are the main component for gameplay involving attacks and defending.
Trap Counter Card
Designed to be activated in response to other cards' effects, often negating those effects.
Pendulum Monster Card
Can be played as either a Monster or Spell Card and enables Pendulum Summoning.
Trap Normal Card

Spell Quick-Play Card
A Spell Card that can be activated during either player's turn once set on the field.
