Immigrant Visa
An immigrant visa is for individuals who intend to live permanently in the United States. It's often the first step towards becoming a lawful permanent resident and eventually a U.S. citizen. These visa holders typically have family or employment ties that allow them to immigrate.
B-1/B-2 Visa
The B-1/B-2 visa is a non-immigrant visa for individuals planning to enter the United States temporarily for business (B-1) or for tourism, pleasure, or visiting (B-2). Applicants must demonstrate that their stay will be temporary.
Non-immigrant Visa
A non-immigrant visa is for individuals who intend to visit the United States for a temporary period. It's for tourism, business, work, or studying. These visa holders do not intend to immigrate and must prove their intent to return to their home country.
H-1B Visa
The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations. Applicants must have a higher education degree or its equivalent and prove non-immigrant intent.
Green Card (Permanent Resident Card)
A Green Card allows individuals to live and work permanently in the United States. It's proof of lawful permanent resident status. Green Card holders can apply for U.S. citizenship after meeting residency requirements.
