Court Dimensions Rule
The court measures 10 x 6 meters with a net height of 1.15 meters for men and 1.05 meters for women.
Penetration under the Net Rule
Players are not allowed to cross the center line and enter the opponent's playing space.
Serving Tactic
Varying serves between short and long can confuse the opposing team's defense.
Player Positioning Tactic
Players should be seated in an attack-ready position, allowing quick movements and efficient ball handling.
Legal Hit Rule
The ball may be played off any part of the body, including the foot, so long as it is a clean hit.
Ball Crossing the Net Tactic
Players should aim to send the ball over the net at sharp angles to make it difficult for the opposing team to return.
Service Rule
The server must have one buttock in contact with the floor when the ball is hit.
Rotation Rule
Teams must rotate each time they win the serve from the opposing team.
Timeouts Rule
Each team is allowed two 30-second timeouts per set.
Scoring Rule
Seated volleyball games are played best out of five sets with the first four sets to 25 points and the fifth to 15 points. Teams must win by two points.
Blocking Tactic
Blockers should time their movements to obstruct the opponent's sight and shot without crossing the net.
Attack Line Rule
The attack line is 2 meters from the net. Players in the back row must have part of their torso behind this line when attacking.
Defensive Positioning Tactic
Players should maintain a position that allows for maximum court coverage and quick reaction to the ball.
Libero Role Rule
A libero can replace any back-row player without prior notice to the officials. They cannot serve, block or attempt to block.
Dead Ball Rule
When a ball comes to rest or is caught, a dead ball is called and the rally ends.
