Patent
A patent is an exclusive right granted for an invention, which is a product or a process that provides a new way of doing something, or offers a new technical solution to a problem. Protection Mechanisms: filing patents with government authorities, maintaining confidentiality until patent is granted, legal action against infringement.
Trademark
A trademark is a recognizable sign, design, or expression which identifies products or services of a particular source from those of others. Protection Mechanisms: registering trademarks, monitoring for misuse, legal action to prevent unauthorized use.
Copyright
Copyright is a form of protection given to the creators of original works of authorship including literary, dramatic, musical, and certain other intellectual works. Protection Mechanisms: displaying copyright notices, registering works, legal defense against infringement.
Trade Secret
