Bolt
A cylindrical threaded fastener with a head, used with a nut for assembling two unthreaded components.
Nut
A type of fastener with a threaded hole that mates with a bolt to secure multiple parts together.
Screw
A type of fastener that typically has a helical thread wrapped around a shaft with a head designed to be turned by a screwdriver or drill.
Washer
A flat disk with a hole that is used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener like a bolt or nut.
Rivet
A permanent mechanical fastener that consists of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head on one end. The end opposite the head is deformed after installation.
Pin
An unthreaded fastener that can be either straight or tapered, used to locate or hold parts together.
Cotter Pin
A metal fastener with two tines that are bent during installation, used to secure other fasteners like nuts or bolts.
Anchor Bolt
A type of fastener that is used to connect structural and non-structural elements to concrete.
Set Screw
A type of screw generally used to secure an object within or against another object, typically without the use of a nut.
Staple
A U-shaped metal fastener used to join or bind materials together, often driven into the surface with a hammer or staple gun.
Tie Wrap (Cable Tie)
A type of fastener that is used to hold items together, primarily electrical cables or wires.
Snap Ring (Retaining Ring)
A fastener that holds components onto a shaft or in a housing/bore when installed in a groove.
Adhesive
A substance capable of holding two surfaces together in a strong and lasting bond, used in various applications where traditional fasteners are not viable.
Clamp
A device used to hold or secure objects tightly together to prevent movement or separation through the application of inward pressure.
Sex Bolt (Binding Post)
A type of fastener that has both a male and female part with internal and external threads, used to bind or fasten two pieces of material together.
Cable Clamp
A clamp used for holding or securing cables, hoses, and wires in place.
Sleeve Anchor
A fastener used for attaching objects to concrete, consisting of a tubular shield that expands when the bolt is tightened.
Toggle Bolt
A fastener for hanging objects on hollow walls or for fastening through panels with a hole behind them. It has a winged end that spreads the load over a wider area.
Blind Rivet
A type of rivet that can be fully installed from one side of the material, also known as a 'pop' rivet.
Hex Key (Allen Wrench)
A tool used to drive bolts and screws with hexagonal sockets in their heads.
Hose Clamp
A device used to secure a hose over a fitting, thereby preventing any fluid flowing through the hose from leaking at the connection.
Nail
A pin-shaped, sharp object of hard metal or alloy used as a fastener, typically driven into the material by a hammer, pneumatic nail gun, or electric nail gun.
Threaded Rod
A long, rod-like fastener with threading on both ends; its length allows it to be cut or combined with standard nuts and washers for custom fastening applications.
Spring Pin (Roll Pin)
A hollow, cylindrical pin that is slit longitudinally to allow for compression during insertion into holes of smaller diameter.
Lock Nut (Nyloc Nut)
A nut that includes a nylon insert that prevents it from backing off, which is useful in applications with vibrations.
