Alphabet Game
Players perform a scene where each line starts with the next letter of the alphabet, beginning with a letter chosen at random. The scene continues until the alphabet has been completed.
Party Quirks
One player is the host of a party. Other players are assigned strange quirks or characters. The host must guess the quirk of each guest as they arrive and interact at the party.
Freeze Tag
Players perform a scene and at any point, someone in the 'audience' can yell 'freeze.' The actors must freeze immediately and the person who called freeze enters the scene, tapping one person out, and starts a new scene from the same positions.
Sound Effects
One player performs a scene, while another player offstage provides live sound effects. The onstage player must justify every sound that the offstage player makes.
Living Scenery
Two players perform a scene, while one or two others become the 'living scenery' - objects, backgrounds, or even other characters - which the main players interact with.
Hats Game
Players pull a hat out of a box and must create a quick character or scene based solely on that hat. The character or scene typically lasts just a few seconds before moving on to the next hat.
Zip Zap Zop
Players stand in a circle and pass energy to each other saying 'Zip', 'Zap', or 'Zop.' Each word corresponds to a different, specific action or energy-passing gesture.
Props
Teams or individuals are given a random prop and must use it in as many original ways as possible, often presenting them as part of a skit or one-liner.
Expert Translation
One player speaks in a made-up gibberish language and gestures as if explaining something complex. Another player then 'translates' what the first player is saying into English, trying to make a logical narrative.
Helping Hands
One player performs a task but can't use their own hands. Another player stands behind them and acts as their hands. The 'hands' must try to perform the task as the front player describes what they are doing.
New Choice
During a scene, anytime the director or audience yells 'New Choice,' the last thing said or action performed must be redone in a new way. This can happen repeatedly until a satisfactory option occurs.
Chain Murder Mystery
One player acts out a murder scenario with a location, murderer, and weapon but without words. The next player must guess the scenario, then act it out for the next player in line, and so on.
Whose Line
Players perform a scene where they must incorporate random lines of dialogue written on slips of paper. Players draw these lines blind and read them aloud for the first time in-scene.
Questions Only
Players perform a scene speaking only in questions. If a player speaks a statement, takes too long, or fails to make sense, they are replaced by another player.
Emotional Rollercoaster
During a scene, the director calls out different emotions. The players must immediately switch to expressing the new emotion while maintaining the scene’s context and dialogue.
