Hamstring Strain
A tear in one or more of the hamstring muscles at the back of the thigh, often caused by sudden starts or stops in running.
Stress Fracture
A small crack in a bone, or severe bruising within a bone, most often caused by overuse and repetitive activities.
Groin Pull
A strain of the inner thigh muscles, often occurring when there is a sudden change of direction while running.
Rotator Cuff Injury
Inflammation or tearing of the rotator cuff muscles in the shoulder, leading to pain and restricted movement.
Tennis Elbow
A painful condition of the elbow caused by overuse, typically affecting the outer part of the elbow.
Runner's Knee
Patellofemoral pain syndrome is characterized by pain around the kneecap and is often related to overuse or misalignment.
Ankle Sprain
Overstretching or tearing of the ligaments in the ankle often caused by twisting or rolling the ankle.
Shin Splints
Pain along the shin bone (tibia) often caused by repetitive stress on the shinbone and the tissue attaching the shinbone to the muscles surrounding it.
Golfer's Elbow
A condition characterized by pain and inflammation on the inner side of the elbow, caused by overuse of the forearm muscles.
Herniated Disc
A condition in which a disc in the spine is damaged and presses on nerves, often causing pain or numbness.
ACL Tear
A tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee, causing instability and pain. Often requires surgery.
Concussion
A type of traumatic brain injury caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head.
Meniscus Tear
Damage to the cartilage in the knee that can cause pain, swelling, and difficulty moving the knee.
Bursitis
Inflammation of a bursa, typically occurring at joints that perform frequent repetitive motion like the shoulder, elbow, hip, or knee.
Jumper's Knee
Also known as patellar tendinitis, this is inflammation of the tendon that connects the kneecap to the shinbone.
Plantar Fasciitis
An inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of the foot and connects the heel bone to the toes.
Achilles Tendinitis
An overuse injury of the Achilles tendon, the band of tissue that connects calf muscles at the back of the lower leg to your heel bone.
IT Band Syndrome
Iliotibial band syndrome occurs when the connective tissue extending from the pelvic bone to the shin becomes so tight that it rubs against the thighbone.
Pulled Muscle
An injury to a muscle or a tendon where fibers have been overstretched or torn.
Fracture
A break, often in the bone, typically the result of high force impact or stress, or a condition that weakens the bones, such as osteoporosis.
