Product Backlog
The Product Backlog is an ordered list of everything that is known to be needed in the product. It serves as the primary source of requirements for any changes to be made to the product.
Sprint Backlog
The Sprint Backlog is a set of items, user stories, or bug fixes selected from the Product Backlog that the team commits to completing during a Sprint.
Increment
The Increment is the sum of all the Product Backlog items completed during a Sprint and all previous Sprints, which must be in a useable condition and meet the Definition of Done.
Definition of Done
The Definition of Done is a set of criteria that the product increment must meet for the team to consider it finished. It ensures transparency and quality of the work.
Burn-down Chart
A Burn-down Chart is a graphical representation of the work left to do versus time. It is a tool used by the team to manage their progress.
Burn-up Chart
A Burn-up Chart is a graphical representation showing the amount of work completed over time and the total amount of work.
Sprint Goal
The Sprint Goal is an objective set for the Sprint that can be met by implementing Product Backlog items, providing guidance to the Development Team on why it is building the Increment.
Product Goal
The Product Goal defines the future state of the product which then serves as a target for the Scrum Team to plan against.
Sprint Review
During the Sprint Review, the Scrum Team presents the results of their work to key stakeholders and progress toward the Product Goal is discussed.
Velocity Chart
A Velocity Chart measures the amount of work a Team has completed during a single Sprint and is used to predict future Sprint capacity.
Epic
An Epic is a large body of work that can be broken down into smaller tasks (stories, themes) that are executed over several sprints.
User Story
A User Story is a short, simple description of a feature told from the perspective of the person who desires the new capability, usually a user or customer of the system.
Theme
A Theme is a collection of related user stories. Themes can be used to group user stories to bigger feature blocks that make sense together.
Release Burndown Chart
Release Burndown Chart shows the progress toward a release. It displays the amount of work remaining to complete the target commitment.
Task Board
A Task Board is a visual management tool that helps the team to track tasks and their progress during a Sprint. It typically shows columns for backlog, to do, in progress, and done.
