Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is derived from the Earth's internal heat. It provides a constant and reliable energy source with minimal emissions but is location-specific and may involve significant drilling costs.
Fossil Fuels
Fossil fuels, including coal, oil, and natural gas, originate from ancient organic matter & are combusted to generate power. They're currently the dominant source of energy but contribute to pollution & global warming. Efficiency varies with the power plant technology.
Wind Energy
Wind energy is produced by converting kinetic energy from wind into electricity using turbines. It's clean & renewable with no emissions, but wind availability varies & can impact local ecosystems & requires significant space.
Nuclear Energy
Nuclear energy is generated through nuclear fission in reactors, releasing large amounts of energy from small amounts of fuel (like uranium). It has a high power output with low greenhouse emissions but raises safety and waste disposal concerns.
Solar Energy
Solar energy harnesses sunlight via photovoltaics or solar thermal systems, converting it into electricity or heat. It's a clean, renewable resource with variable output based on location, time of day, and weather conditions.
