Flashcards
0/4
Expansion Valve
Reduces the pressure of the refrigerant, which in turn cools it down, allowing it to absorb heat in the evaporator.
Condenser
Releases the heat absorbed in the evaporator and the work done by the compressor to the surroundings, usually causing the refrigerant to condense from a vapor to a liquid.
Evaporator
Absorbs heat from the area to be cooled, causing the refrigerant to boil and transform from a liquid to a vapor, which then flows to the compressor.
Compressor
Increases the pressure of the refrigerant, which raises its temperature, preparing it to release heat in the condenser.
