Anger
A strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. It can be sparked by injustice, conflict, or frustration. For instance, a person might feel anger when being treated unfairly.
Trust
A feeling of confidence or reliance in the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something. Trust often develops over time, such as in a friendship strengthened by mutual support.
Happiness
A state of well-being and contentment often felt when desires are satisfied or when accomplishing goals. Someone might feel happiness after receiving great news like a job promotion.
Surprise
A brief emotional state resulting from an unexpected event. It can be neutral, pleasant, or unpleasant. A surprise party can elicit this emotion.
Contempt
A mix of emotions that involves seeing another as beneath oneself and includes an element of disrespect. Someone may feel contempt for another person who they perceive as inferior or unethical.
Fear
An emotional response to perceived threats or danger. It is a survival mechanism. A person might feel fear during a frightening event such as an earthquake.
Sadness
A feeling characterized by sorrow or unhappiness. It often occurs when experiencing loss or disappointment. For example, one might feel sadness after a breakup or failing an important exam.
Disgust
An emotion of revulsion or strong disapproval aroused by something unpleasant or offensive. It may be felt upon encountering spoiled food or morally reprehensible behavior.
