Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder
Preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, and control at the expense of flexibility, openness, and efficiency. The behavior is not due to OCD rituals.
Histrionic Personality Disorder
Excessive emotionality and attention-seeking behavior. Individuals often appear dramatic, enthusiastic, and flirtatious and may be uncomfortable when not the center of attention.
Antisocial Personality Disorder
Disregard for and violation of the rights of others, lack of remorse, deceitfulness, and impulsivity. Diagnosis typically requires a pattern of behavior that violates the social norms, including lawful behaviors.
Borderline Personality Disorder
Intense fear of abandonment, patterns of unstable relationships, unstable self-image, and impulsive behavior. Emotionally unstable and often experience intense and fluctuating moods.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Grandiosity, need for admiration, lack of empathy, and a sense of entitlement. Often appears arrogant or haughty, and they may take advantage of others to achieve their goals.
Dependent Personality Disorder
Excessive need to be taken care of, submissive behavior, fear of separation, and difficulty making decisions without excessive advice and reassurance from others.
Schizoid Personality Disorder
Detachment from social relationships and a restricted range of emotional expression. Individuals typically appear as loners and may seem emotionally cold or indifferent to others.
Paranoid Personality Disorder
Distrust and suspicion of others such that their motives are interpreted as malevolent. Individuals often hold grudges and are reluctant to confide in others because of unwarranted fear that the information will be used against them.
Schizotypal Personality Disorder
Acute discomfort in close relationships, cognitive or perceptual distortions, and eccentric behaviors. May experience odd beliefs, magical thinking, or unusual perceptual experiences.
Avoidant Personality Disorder
Social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, and hypersensitivity to negative evaluation. Individuals may avoid social interactions and activities for fear of criticism or rejection.
