Psoriasis
Symptoms include red patches of skin covered with thick, silvery scales. Causes: immune system dysfunction, genetics, environmental factors. Treatment: topical corticosteroids, vitamin D analogues, light therapy.
Seborrheic Dermatitis
Symptoms include flaky scales, itchy and red skin. Causes: yeast, irregular immune response, and changes in oil production. Treatment: antifungal shampoos, corticosteroids, and coal tar.
Hidradenitis Suppurativa
Symptoms include painful, pea-sized lumps under the skin that grow and turn into abscesses. Causes: blocked hair follicles, genetics, hormonal changes. Treatment: antibiotics, surgery, and biologics.
Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis)
Symptoms include dry, itchy, and red skin. Causes: combination of genetic and environmental factors. Treatment: moisturizers, topical steroids, and avoiding irritants.
Dermatomyositis

Impetigo

Symptoms include purplish, flat-topped bumps, itching. Causes: immune system malfunction, hepatitis C infection. Treatment: corticosteroids, retinoids, and antihistamines.
Rosacea
Symptoms include facial redness, swollen red bumps, and visible blood vessels. Causes: unknown, but triggers include hot drinks, spicy foods, and alcohol. Treatment: topical metronidazole, oral antibiotics, and laser therapy.
Cellulitis
Symptoms include red, swollen, tender skin, fever, and chills. Causes: bacterial infection usually from Staphylococcus or Streptococcus. Treatment: oral or intravenous antibiotics.
