CMYK Color Model
A subtractive color model used in color printing, where Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black) inks are applied in different amounts to absorb light.
YCbCr Color Space
Used mainly for digital video and photography, where Y represents luminance, and Cb and Cr represent blue-difference and red-difference chroma components.
HSL Color Space
A representation of points in an RGB color model, where Hue, Saturation, and Lightness are the prominant characteristics for describing colors.
XYZ Color Space
Also defined by the CIE, this color space serves as a mathematical representation of human color vision and is a reference model for other color spaces.
HSV Color Space
Represents color in terms of Hue, Saturation, and Value (brightness), which is more aligned with human perception of colors.
YUV Color Space
Historically used for analog television, with Y representing the luminance, U and V representing color information, and is now also used in some digital video formats.
RGB Color Model
An additive color model where Red, Green, and Blue light are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of colors.
sRGB Color Space
A standard RGB color space established by HP and Microsoft for use on monitors, printers, and the internet, providing good color reproduction on average displays.
Adobe RGB Color Space
An RGB color space developed by Adobe Systems, offering a wider gamut than sRGB, particularly in the green and cyan areas, typically for professional graphics and photography.
CIELAB Color Space
A color space defined by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), intended to be perceptually uniform with respect to human color vision, making it well-suited for measuring color difference.
