Bulldozer
It is equipped with a substantial metal plate (known as a blade) used to push large quantities of soil, sand, rubble, or other such material during construction work.
Backhoe
A piece of excavating equipment consisting of a digging bucket on the end of a two-part articulated arm. Used for digging and back-filling holes.
Compactor
A machine that uses weight and force to reduce the size of materials. Used in soil compaction to improve the soil's load-bearing capacity.
Excavator
A large construction equipment featuring a bucket, arm, rotating cab, and movable tracks. It is used for digging of trenches, holes and foundations.
Piling Rig
A construction machine for piling in foundation engineering. It is mainly applied to drill in sandy soil, clay, silty clay, etc., and widely used cast-in-place piles, diaphragm walls, and foundation reinforcement.
Dump Truck
A vehicle equipped with an open-box bed, which is hinged at the rear and equipped with hydraulic rams to lift the front, allowing the material in the bed to be deposited ('dumped') on the ground behind the truck.
Horizontal Drilling Machine
Used for precise drilling in a horizontal direction, this machine is commonly used for the installation of pipelines and cables with minimal environmental impact.
Skid-Steer Loader
A small, rigid-frame, engine-powered machine with lift arms used to attach a wide variety of labor-saving tools. Used for digging, lifting, and moving materials.
Trencher
A construction equipment used to dig trenches, especially for laying pipes or electrical cables, for installing drainage, or preparing for trench warfare.
Tower Crane
Characterized by a vertical steel tower and a horizontal boom (jib). It's designed to lift heavy loads for high-rise building constructions.
Mobile Crane
A cable-controlled crane mounted on crawlers or rubber-tired carriers or a hydraulic-powered crane with a telescoping boom mounted on truck-type carriers.
Crawler Loader
A crawler with a loader for moving large amounts of material on or off a site. It combines the capabilities of a loader with the stability of crawler tracks.
Cold Planer
A construction machine used to remove asphalt or concrete pavement from roadways. It grinds the surface to be removed and transports it to a truck or stockpile.
Scrapers
Designed to move large volumes of soil, rock, or other materials from one location to another. It scrapes the soil surface and transports it to a different location.
Pile Driver
A device used to drive piles into soil to provide foundation support for buildings or other structures. It works by dropping a heavy weight on top of the pile.
Asphalt Paver
A construction vehicle that lays down asphalt and creates a smooth road surface with a mechanical screed, including compacting it to the required thickness.
Soil Stabilizer
Machinery used to improve soil stability by blending and mixing other materials to create a more durable surface.
Drilling Machine
Used for creating holes in the earth’s surface, these can range from small handheld units to larger, more powerful machines for road, water well, or other drilling operations.
Telehandler
A machine widely used in agriculture and industry. It's essentially a crane with the versatility of a forklift, telescopic boom makes it a combination of a crane and forklift.
Road Roller
A compactor type engineering vehicle used to compact soil, gravel, concrete, or asphalt in the construction of roads and foundations.
Articulated Hauler
A very large, heavy-duty type of dump truck used to transport loads over rough terrain. The hinged frame allows for exceptional maneuverability.
Pipe Layer
A construction machine designed specifically to install pipes for various utilities without the continuous use of cranes or other lifting equipment.
Motor Grader
Also known as a road grader, this is a long blade used to create a flat surface during the grading process, often used in road construction.
Paver
A piece of construction equipment used to lay asphalt on roads, bridges, parking lots and other such places. It lays the asphalt flat and provides minor compaction before it is compacted by a roller.
Lattice Boom Crane
A type of crane with a lattice boom, consisting of a framework of crossing steel pieces. It is used in construction for its high capacity and long reach.
Crawler Dragline
A large excavator equipped with a suspended boom and cable system that uses a dragging bucket to remove overburden, typically in open-pit mining and surface mining.
Rock Breaker
A powerful percussion hammer fitted to an excavator for demolishing concrete structures or rocks. Used in construction, demolition, and mining.
Concrete Pump
A machine used for transferring liquid concrete by pumping. It comes in two main types: boom concrete pumps and line pumps.
Forklift
A powered industrial truck used to lift and move materials over short distances, equipped with a forked platform.
Concrete Mixer
This vehicle combines cement, aggregate such as sand or gravel, and water to form concrete. The drum rotates mixing the components.
Asphalt Plant
An industrial facility for the production of hot mix asphalt for use in construction, particularly in the building of roads, made from a combination of aggregates and binder.
Wheel Tractor-Scraper
This machine is designed for removing, hauling and spreading layers of earth. It is composed of a tractor and a scrap bin with a vertical cutting edge.
Off-Highway Truck
Designed for heavy construction work and often found in mining, this type of truck is used to transport large amounts of material.
Boom Lift
A type of aerial work platform that provides temporary access to high, otherwise inaccessible areas on a construction site.
Batching Plant
An industrial facility wherein ingredients for concrete are combined and blended before being transported to the construction site.
Telescopic Handler
Similar to a forklift but with a boom (telescoping cylinder), making it more like a crane than a forklift, with the increased versatility of a single telescopic that can extend forwards and upwards from the vehicle.
Rough Terrain Crane
A crane that is designed to operate on uneven and rough surfaces. It is mounted on an undercarriage with four large rubber tires, designed for pick-and-carry operations and for off-road and rough terrain applications.
KnuckleBoom Crane
A type of crane that is similar to a standard crane, but the boom is articulated to provide greater flexibility and precision in loading and unloading.
Material Handler
Machinery that's designed for moving stock or materials during manufacturing, warehousing, and disposal.
Sheet Piling Rig
A hydraulic attachment used for driving steel sheet piles for retaining walls and cofferdams integrated with tall hydraulic rigs.
Asphalt Milling Machine
A type of heavy-duty machinery used to remove the surface layer of a paved area, like a road or parking lot, through a milling process.
