Circuit Switching
Circuit Switching is a type of network switching where a dedicated communication path is established between two nodes for the duration of the conversation. Key differences include resource reservation, consistent connection once established, and being less efficient in resource utilization compared to packet switching.
Packet Switching
Packet Switching is a digital networking communication method that groups all transmitted data into suitably-sized blocks, called packets. Key differences include data being divided into packets, no resource reservation, and more efficient use of network resources as compared to circuit switching.
