Loyalty (忠義, Chugi)
Loyalty is the unwavering devotion to a lord, the clan, or the Samurai's moral principles, often to the point of sacrificing personal interest for the sake of these bonds.
Self-Control (自制, Jisei)
Self-Control refers to the discipline over one's own emotions and desires. It is key for a Samurai to exhibit restraint and to act according to the greater ethical framework of Bushido.
Honor (名誉, Meiyo)

Rectitude (義, Gi)
Rectitude or Justice is the strong moral principle of the Samurai, requiring them to make decisions with a sense of righteousness and to take responsibility for their actions.
Honesty (誠, Makoto)
Honesty stresses the importance of truthfulness and sincerity. A Samurai is expected to uphold honesty in personal and professional conduct.
