Intercostal Neuralgia
Symptoms: Sharp, spasmodic pain in the ribcage area. Affected nerves: Intercostal nerves. Potential causes: Rib injury, shingles in the chest area, or pressure on the nerves.
Pudendal Neuralgia
Symptoms: Chronic, painful burning or tingling in the genital area. Affected nerves: Pudendal nerve. Potential causes: Long periods of sitting, childbirth, pelvic surgery, or trauma.
Supraorbital Neuralgia
Symptoms: Pain in the forehead, scalp, or upper eyelid. Affected nerves: Supraorbital nerve. Potential causes: Trauma to the forehead, compression of the nerve, or frontal sinusitis.
Glossopharyngeal Neuralgia
Symptoms: Sudden, severe pain in the throat, tonsils, ear, and/or base of the tongue. Affected nerves: Glossopharyngeal nerve. Potential causes: Compression by blood vessels, throat/neck cancer, or nerve damage.
