Immune Globulins
Indications: Immunodeficiency diseases, certain infections. Possible reactions: anaphylaxis, headaches, hemolytic anemia.
Platelets
Indications: Thrombocytopenia, platelet dysfunction. Possible reactions: febrile non-hemolytic transfusion reaction, alloimmunization, sepsis.
Cryoprecipitate
Indications: Hemophilia A, von Willebrand disease, fibrinogen deficiency. Possible reactions: allergic reactions, transfusion-associated circulatory overload, transmission of infections.
Whole Blood
Indications: Massive transfusion, severe trauma. Possible reactions: fever, allergic reactions, hemolytic reaction.
Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP)
Indications: Coagulation factor deficiencies, massive transfusion protocol. Possible reactions: transfusion-related acute lung injury (TRALI), allergic reactions, transfusion-associated circulatory overload (TACO).
