Olecranon Process
Found on the ulna, it forms the bony prominence of the elbow and serves as an attachment for the triceps brachii.
Greater Trochanter
Located at the top of the femur and serves as an attachment for several hip muscles.
Lateral Malleolus
Located on the lower end of the fibula, it stabilizes the ankle and articulates with the talus.
Ischial Tuberosity
Located in the pelvis, it supports the body's weight when sitting and provides attachment for the hamstring muscles.
Tibial Tuberosity
Located on the anterior surface of the tibia, it provides the attachment point for the patellar ligament.
Calcaneal Tuberosity
Located at the back of the calcaneus or heel bone, it provides attachment for the Achilles tendon.
Styloid Process
A slender pointed piece of bone just below the ear, it anchors muscles associated with the tongue and pharynx.
Xiphoid Process
The smallest and most inferior region of the sternum, it serves as a cartilaginous attachment for the diaphragm.
Glenoid Fossa
A shallow depression in the scapula that articulates with the head of the humerus, forming the shoulder joint.
Medial Malleolus
Located at the distal end of the tibia and provides stability to the ankle joint.
Mental Protuberance
Located on the mandible, it provides the point of insertion for several muscles of the lower lip and chin.
Spinous Process
Each vertebra has a posterior spinous process which serves as a point of attachment for muscles and ligaments of the spine.
Anterior Superior Iliac Spine (ASIS)
The anterior part of the iliac crest in the pelvis, it is a reference point for various abdominal and thigh muscles.
Acromion Process
Located on the scapula, it provides attachment for the trapezius and deltoid muscles.
Coracoid Process
Located on the scapula, it serves as an attachment point for tendons of the biceps brachii and other shoulder muscles.
