Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Characterized by persistent and excessive worry about various aspects of life. Treatment approaches include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), medication like SSRIs and SNRIs, and mindfulness practices.
Panic Disorder
Manifests through recurrent panic attacks and the fear of experiencing another attack. Treatment usually involves CBT, medication like SSRIs, and relaxation techniques.
Phobias
Intense, irrational fear of specific objects or situations. Treatments include exposure therapy, CBT, and sometimes medications to manage acute symptoms.
Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD)
Characterized by extreme fear of social situations and being negatively evaluated by others. Treatments involve CBT, Exposure Therapy, and SSRIs or SNRIs.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Agoraphobia

Separation Anxiety Disorder
High levels of anxiety when separated from home or attachment figures, appropriate to developmental level. Treated with psychotherapy, sometimes CBT, and occasionally medications for symptoms.
Selective Mutism
Consistent failure to speak in specific social situations despite speaking in others. Treatment often involves CBT, family therapy, and sometimes speech therapy.
Substance/Medication-Induced Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety symptoms that develop during or soon after substance intoxication or withdrawal or after exposure to a medication. Treatment involves substance withdrawal, CBT, and managing the anxiety symptoms with medication if necessary.
