Anomalous Trichromacy
Person has all three cones, but one cone type perceives light slightly out of alignment.
Red-Green Color Blindness
Most common form. Difficulty distinguishing between red and green colors.
Total Color Blindness (Achromatopsia)
Absent or malfunctioning cone cells in the retina. Sees only in shades of gray.
Blue-Yellow Color Blindness
Rarer type. Trouble differentiating blue and yellow hues.
Monochromacy
A form of total color blindness with only one type of cone or no cones. Sees no color.
