Ectropion Repair
Surgery to correct the outward turning of the lower eyelid. It's usually performed when the ectropion causes excessive tearing or exposure keratitis.
Entropion Repair
This is a procedure to fix the inward turning of the eyelid, most commonly the lower lid. Performed to prevent corneal irritation and damage caused by eyelashes and skin rubbing against the cornea.
Evisceration
Surgical removal of the contents of the eye while leaving the scleral shell and extraocular muscles intact. Performed usually in cases of endophthalmitis or a painful, blinded eye.
Lacrimal Drainage Surgery
Surgical intervention to address issues with the lacrimal system which can lead to excessive tearing or recurrent infections. Procedures like DCR (dacryocystorhinostomy) are commonly performed.
Enucleation
The surgical removal of the eye, leaving the eye muscles and remaining orbital contents intact. Commonly performed for relief of pain in a blind eye or to remove a malignant tumor.
Brow Lift
A cosmetic procedure that aims to raise sagging eyebrows and reduce forehead wrinkles. Often performed to rejuvenate the face and improve the field of vision in patients with brow ptosis.
Blepharoplasty
A surgery to repair droopy eyelids by removing excess skin, muscle, and fat. Commonly performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight in older patients where sagging eyelids get in the way of their vision.
Canthoplasty
A surgical procedure to tighten the lower eyelid by restructuring the lateral canthus. Often performed for cosmetic reasons, or to correct eyelid laxity causing functional problems.
Orbital Decompression
Surgery to remove bone and sometimes fat to expand the eye socket. Commonly performed in patients with thyroid eye disease to relieve pressure on the optic nerve or correct proptosis (bulging eyes).
Ptosis Repair
This surgical procedure is done to lift the upper eyelids when they droop significantly due to weakened muscles, potentially impairing vision. It's commonly performed to improve vision and facial appearance.
