Total Hip Replacement
A surgical procedure where a damaged hip joint is replaced with a prosthetic implant to relieve pain and improve function, often due to osteoarthritis.
Total Knee Replacement
A surgery to replace a knee joint with a man-made artificial joint, typically due to severe arthritis or injury.
Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction
The reconstruction of the ACL in the knee to restore its function after a tear, often necessary after sports injuries.
Laminectomy
A spinal surgery to remove a portion of the vertebral bone called the lamina, intended to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves, often because of spinal stenosis.
Carpal Tunnel Release
A surgical procedure to treat carpal tunnel syndrome by cutting the ligament to relieve pressure on the median nerve in the wrist.
Rotator Cuff Repair
Surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in the shoulder, often required after repetitive use injuries or acute trauma.
Spinal Fusion
A surgical procedure to join two or more vertebrae to reduce painful movement, typically due to degenerative disc disease or spondylolisthesis.
Discectomy
A surgical removal of a portion of a herniated disc in the spine, which is pressing on a nerve root, to relieve pain and other symptoms.
Meniscectomy
The surgical removal of all or part of a torn meniscus in the knee, often due to sports injuries or degenerative processes.
Achilles Tendon Repair
Surgery to repair the Achilles tendon after a tear, often from sports or accidental injuries.
Bunion Surgery
A procedure to correct a deformity of the big toe joint, known as a bunion, which causes pain and a bulging bump on the inside of the foot.
Arthroscopic Surgery
A minimally invasive surgical procedure on a joint using an arthroscope, for diagnosis, and treatment of joint problems such as tears or inflammation.
Hip Resurfacing
An alternative to total hip replacement where damaged bone and cartilage in the hip joint are replaced with metal, preserving more of the natural bone.
Vertebroplasty
A minimally invasive procedure to stabilize compressed vertebrae by injecting bone cement, often performed for osteoporotic fractures.
Kyphoplasty
A surgery similar to vertebroplasty that also includes the use of a balloon to create a cavity which is then filled with bone cement, designed to correct vertebral body deformity.
Elbow Arthroscopy
A minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat conditions of the elbow joint such as arthritis or loose bodies.
Shoulder Arthroscopy
A minimally invasive procedure to repair tissues inside or around the shoulder joint, often due to shoulder impingement or rotator cuff tears.
Ankle Arthroscopy
A surgical technique for diagnosing and treating ankle problems, such as removing bone spurs or repairing damaged cartilage.
Hallux Valgus Correction
Surgical correction of the bony deformity of the big toe, commonly known as a bunion; the procedure involves realigning bone, ligaments, tendons, and nerves.
Osteotomy
A surgical procedure where a bone is cut to shorten, lengthen, or change its alignment; often used in knee and hip surgeries.
Ligament Reconstruction
The replacement or repair of a torn ligament, often in the knee or ankle, to restore stability to the joint.
Tendon Transfer
A procedure where a functional tendon is shifted from its original attachment to a new one to restore function in a paralyzed muscle or joint.
Ganglion Cyst Removal
The excision of a fluid-filled cyst commonly located on the wrist or hand, performed when it causes pain or restricts movement.
Hip Labral Repair
Surgical correction of a torn labrum in the hip, a ring of cartilage that follows the outside rim of the socket of the hip joint.
Microdiscectomy
A minimally invasive surgical procedure to remove parts of a herniated disc that is pressing on nerve roots, often leading to immediate pain relief.
