Defenseman
A player responsible for defending against the opposing team's attack, usually playing in the area behind the forwards, and capable of initiating offensive plays.
Center
A player who typically leads the offensive play, takes face-offs and is responsible for covering the middle area of the ice.
Right Wing
A player who occupies the right side of the ice, has offensive duties, and works on the forecheck to regain possession of the puck.
Left Wing
A player who plays on the left side of the ice, focuses on offense, and often works in conjunction with the center to create scoring opportunities.
Enforcer
A player typically tasked with protecting teammates from opposing players by playing a physical style and sometimes engaging in fights.
Goaltender
The player who guards the net to prevent the opposing team from scoring, wearing specialized equipment for protection and to aid in stopping the puck.
