Utility Player
Role: Versatile player that can play multiple positions. Fielding position: Varies, depending on team needs.
Pitcher
Role: Delivers the ball to the batter. Fielding position: In the center of the infield, on the pitcher's mound.
First Baseman
Role: Fields balls near first base and catches throws for outs. Fielding position: Close to first base, on the right side of the infield.
Center Fielder
Role: Leader of the outfield, covers the most ground. Fielding position: Directly behind second base, in the outfield.
Second Baseman
Role: Fields balls hit towards the right side of the infield. Fielding position: Between first and second base, often involved in double plays.
Catcher
Role: Catches pitches and protects home plate. Fielding position: Behind home plate, in a crouching stance.
Shortstop
Role: Fields ground balls and makes long throws to first base. Fielding position: Between second and third base, covers a lot of ground.
