Defender
Protects the goal area, prevents opposition from scoring; playing area is primarily own half of the field, around the defensive zone.
Long Stick Midfielder
Defensive midfielder with a longer stick for extended reach; playing area spans the entire field like a typical midfielder, with additional defensive responsibilities.
Wing Player
Assists in face-offs, captures loose balls, plays on the flanks; playing area is along the sides of the field near the midfield line.
Midfielder
Plays both offense and defense, transitions the ball between playing areas; covers the entire field.
